Praia, Oct 22 (Inforpress) – The Bank of Cabo Verde (BCV) released Monday, a note in which it says Convercâmbio, Sociedade Unipessoal Lda “is not authorized” to provide money exchange services and money transfer.
In the statement the BCV explains that this announcement is intended to “safeguard the public interest”.
According to the note to which Inforpress had access, BCV, as supervisor and regulator of the financial system, became aware that this company is registered at the Commercial and Automobile Registry of Praia, according to the publication in the Official Gazette, providing services in the financial sector.
But to do so “the company should necessarily request the prior authorization of the Bank of Cabo Verde”. The Convercâmbio, Sociedade Unipessoal Lda has its headquarters in Plateau, City of Praia, Santiago Island.
