Praia, May 5 (Inforpress) - The Attorney General of the Republic today announced the creation of a team to ‘urgently combat’ urban crime in the capital and restore tranquillity to the neighbourhoods, in the face of an increase in robberies and conflicts between criminal groups.
A situation that, according to Luís José Landim, recalls the "critical levels" recorded in 2021.
The announcement was made on the sidelines of the opening of a specialized training in Digital Forensics, Digital Investigation and Community Policing, promoted within the scope of a technical cooperation between the Government, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Rotterdam Police (Netherlands).
According to Luís José Landim, the team has already started work collecting data, identifying suspects and preparing procedural measures, including arrest warrants.
