Praia, May 25 (Inforpress) –Today, the commander of the Spanish vessel Bam Furor (P-46) today advocated for “greater information sharing” between Cabo Verde and Spain to strengthen efforts against drug trafficking, illegal immigration and illegal fishing along the West African coast.

“The vessel departed Spain in January, we have visited eight countries (…) and Cabo Verde is now our final port,” the vessel’s commander, Angel Garcia Estrada, told reporters during a media visit aboard the ship docked at the Port of Praia.

Angel Garcia Estrada stated that Cabo Verde represents the final stop of the mission launched in January, before the vessel returns to Spain.

The “Furor” has been docked at the Port of Praia since May 18 and will remain in Cabo Verde until the 27th as part of the European maritime security mission in the Gulf of Guinea.
