SIACSA Calls for Resolution of Labour Issues and Resumption of Social Dialogue with New Government

raia, May 22 (Inforpress) – The president of the Union of Industry, Agriculture, Commerce and Related Services (SIACSA) today defended the need for the new Government to resume social dialogue and address outstanding labour-related matters within the public administration and local municipalities.

During a press conference on the union’s balance sheet for the first half of the year, Gilberto Lima stated that several workers’ demands remained unresolved under the previous administration and now require follow-up from the new Government emerging from the elections.

According to him, the union’s main concerns include the implementation of the Career, Functions and Remuneration Plan (PCFR), salary framework adjustments, and the regularization of promotions and appointments across different sectors of the public service.

“Workers and trade unions are awaiting the full implementation of the PCFR and the correction of situations that continue to penalize several professional categories,” he said.
