
Praia, May 22 (Inforpress) – The Spanish vessel Bam Furor (P-46), equipped with a crew of 80 personnel and unmanned aircraft systems, is currently docked at the Port of Praia as part of efforts to promote international maritime cooperation, the Spanish Embassy announced today.
According to a statement sent by the Spanish Embassy to Inforpress, the maritime action vessel will remain at the Port of Praia until May 27, with activities including a guided tour for media outlets on Monday, the 25th.
The vessel’s deployment, according to the document, forms part of the first rotation of the PMC-GdG deployment and represents a significant contribution to strengthening the coordinated European maritime presence in the Gulf of Guinea.
The mission’s objective in the Gulf region is to ensure a deterrent naval presence, strengthen surveillance and monitoring of maritime spaces, protect merchant traffic and critical maritime infrastructure, and promote international maritime cooperation.
