igher Education/São Tomé and Príncipe: Uni-CV Researcher Participates in Mission on Scientific and Academic Writing

São Tomé, May 15 (Inforpress) – Maria Goreti Freire, research coordinator of the Eugénio Tavares Chair of Portuguese Language at the University of Cabo Verde (Uni-CV), is participating in a mission in São Tomé and Príncipe dedicated to scientific and academic writing.

According to a statement released by the institution, the mission includes complementary activities for the initial training of students enrolled in the Portuguese Language degree programme at the University of São Tomé and Príncipe, with the aim of strengthening academic writing skills.

During the working sessions, topics related to clarity and rigour in argumentation, research ethics, the construction of authorial voice and bibliographic referencing rules were addressed.

The initiative results from a partnership between the University of São Tomé and Príncipe, the University of Cape Verde through the Eugénio Tavares Chair of Portuguese Language, and Camões – Institute for Cooperation and Language, through the Portuguese Language Centre in São Tomé and Príncipe.
