
Praia, May 14 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verde recorded 18,600 active companies in 2024, an increase of 2.2% compared to 2023, according to provisional data from the National Statistics Institute (INE), which point to a positive evolution of the national business sector.
According to INE, the country registered 18,600 active companies in 2024, 2.2% more than in 2023, a trend mainly driven by the trade, accommodation and restaurant, manufacturing industry and construction sectors.
These activities continue to play a central role in the national economic dynamics, contributing significantly to the growth of the business sector.
Companies’ turnover reached approximately 430 million escudos, representing a 12.0% increase compared to the previous year, with trade standing out as the main contributor to the overall performance.
