São Vicente to host launch of book about the “Tubarões Azuis”

Praia, May 14 (Inforpress) – The book “Tubarões Azuis in the Olympus of the Gods of Football” will be presented on the 20th in São Vicente and on the 22nd in Praia, coinciding with the stay of the national football team in Cabo Verde before travelling to the United States of America.

The presentation of the work in Mindelo, scheduled for May 20, according to author José Mário Correia, takes place while the “Tubarões Azuis” are holding a training camp in São Vicente, which, he stressed, justifies the choice of the Porto Grande island for the first official launch.

After leaving São Vicente, the national team will travel to the island of Fogo before making stops in Sal and Praia, in a kind of farewell tour across the archipelago before departing for Lisbon, where it will play an international match on June 2. 

The United States of America will subsequently host the next commitments of the Cape Verdean national team.
