Brava: ICCA promotes Family Fair to mark Family Month and strengthen positive parenting

Nova Sintra, May 13 (Inforpress) – The delegation of the Cabo Verdean Institute for Children and Adolescents (ICCA) on Brava Island will hold a cultural afternoon event called the Family Fair on Friday the 15th, in celebration of Family Month, local official Rosana Sousa announced.

The same source stated that the objective is to promote positive parenting practices, with the initiative aimed at strengthening family ties and raising community awareness about the importance of protecting and supporting children and adolescents within the family environment.

According to Rosana Sousa, the activity will take place at the grounds of the Catholic Church in Nova Sintra from 3:00 p.m. onwards and will feature various cultural and recreational activities, including music, dance, theatre and other entertainment initiatives aimed at families and the wider community.

The fair, she continued, seeks to create a space for interaction and sharing among parents, children and partner institutions, encouraging values such as unity, dialogue, respect and responsibility within the family environment.
