City of Tarrafal, May 12 (Inforpress) – The Nazarene Temple in Ribeira Brava is undergoing renovation works to be designated as a memorial to Reverend Daniel de Barros and to host the sixth District Assembly of the Church of the Nazarene (Northern District of the country).
Speaking to Inforpress, pastor and local leader of the Church of the Nazarene in Ribeira Brava, Josué Monteiro, stated that renovation works have already begun in order to improve the conditions of the facility before it is officially established as the Reverend Daniel de Barros Memorial.
According to the same source, the renovation is divided into two phases. The first includes interior and exterior painting of the temple, façade adjustments, and expansion of the entrance, while the second phase includes the construction of a kitchen and the creation of a multi-purpose room, which will also serve the community.
Josué Monteiro stressed that dedicating the temple as a memorial to Reverend Daniel de Barros is a “fair and deserved” tribute to a figure who contributed to the development of Ribeira Brava and the Church of the Nazarene in São Nicolau.
