Lourenço Lopes guarantees impartial and high-quality coverage of the May 17 legislative elections

Praia, Apr 27 (Inforpress) – The Secretary of State to the Prime Minister, Lourenço Lopes, stated today that conditions are in place to ensure broad, qualified and impartial coverage of the May 17 legislative elections.

The statement was made during a press conference addressing the current situation of the public and private media sector and reviewing media coverage of the upcoming legislative elections.

“We can say that the conditions are guaranteed for qualified, broad and impartial coverage of the elections by public media outlets, RTC and Inforpress, across all constituencies from Santo Antão to Brava,” said the Secretary of State.

According to Lourenço Lopes, the necessary conditions are also secured in terms of professionals, logistics and funding, enabling the media and public outlets to contribute significantly to strengthening democracy and ensuring effective coverage.
