Earth Day: “To preserve the planet, the full power is in our hands” – ADAD

Praia, Apr 22 (Inforpress) – The Association for the Defense of the Environment and Development (ADAD) brought together children, youth and the elderly today in Earth Day celebrations to reinforce the message that nature conservation lies in the hands of every citizen.

Activities took place at 13 de Janeiro School and Abílio Duarte Secondary School, in Palmarejo, with tree planting highlighted, in an atmosphere marked by intergenerational interaction and awareness of sustainable practices.

Speaking to the press, ADAD representative Ândria Vaz recalled that such activities are organized every year to promote and spread environmental awareness across society.

“The objective is not only the symbolic aspect of planting trees or a theoretical component, but also to show that sustainable development for a better future for our environment lies within each of us, regardless of age,” she explained.
