New Bishop of Santiago Dom Teodoro Tavares arrives in Praia on Thursday

Praia, Apr 15 (Inforpress) – The city of Praia will welcome on Thursday the 16th the arrival of the new Bishop of the Diocese of Santiago, Dom Teodoro Tavares, whose appointment marks a new phase in the pastoral leadership of the largest diocese in Cabo Verde.

Awaiting him, according to a diocesan source, will be the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese, Dom Arlindo Furtado, along with members of the clergy and the faithful.

The new Bishop of Santiago will take office on May 2, during a ceremony at the São José Seminary, in the city of Praia.

Due to space constraints, the ceremony will be limited in the presence of the faithful.
