Brava: Government provides more than three million escudos for rehabilitation of the Nova Sintra Cultural Centre

Nova Sintra, 11 Mar (Inforpress) – The Government of Cabo Verde made available this Tuesday more than three million escudos to the municipality of Brava Island for the rehabilitation of the Municipal Cultural Centre/Auditorium of Nova Sintra, whose intervention may begin soon.

According to a statement, the Government transferred the amount of 3,331,030 Cape Verdean escudos, intended for the start of the rehabilitation works of that cultural infrastructure located in the city of Nova Sintra.

The funds were made available by the Ministry of Culture and Creative Industries of Cabo Verde, within the framework of the partnership established with the Brava Municipal Council, with the aim of starting the requalification intervention of the space.

The signing of the programme-contract that formalises this institutional cooperation took place at the beginning of February of the current year in Nova Sintra, between the Minister of Culture and Creative Industries, Augusto Veiga, and the mayor of Brava, Amândio Brito, in the presence of the prime minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva.
