City of Praia, 06 Mar (Inforpress) – Representatives of the United Nations and the Republic of India in Cabo Verde stated this Thursday that the project “Future First” represents a milestone in South-South cooperation.
The project, which aims to strengthen maternal, neonatal and child health across the archipelago, whose protocol was signed today by the Minister of Health, Jorge Figueiredo, and international partners, foresees a direct impact on the lives of nearly 10% of Cabo Verde’s population.
In his remarks, the Ambassador of India, Sanjeev Jain, highlighted the priority given to the country by the India-UN Development Partnership Fund.
Created in 2017, the fund has already supported 89 projects in 67 countries, with Cabo Verde being “one of the few” to receive a second initiative financed through this mechanism.
