São Nicolau: Ministry of Culture signs financial support contract with beneficiaries of the BA Cultura programme

City of Tarrafal, 05 Mar (Inforpress) – The Ministry of Culture and Creative Industries, through the Coordination of the Culture Access Scholarship Programme, will sign this Friday a financial support contract with five schools, associations and NGOs on the island.

According to the press release sent to Inforpress, in 2026 the programme’s budget reaches five thousand contos, with 132 beneficiaries across the country’s 22 municipalities and more than 4,500 scholarship holders.

According to the information provided, in São Nicolau the programme includes 128 scholarship students, of whom 56 are female and 72 are male.

The BA Cultura programme has an artistic-cultural nature and is linked to an active policy that finances multiple activities such as artistic classes, workshops or lessons related to the creative industries, promoted by private schools, associations or non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
