São Vicente: “March, theatre month” celebrated with performances and presentation of the Theatrical Merit Award

Mindelo, 04 Mar (Inforpress) – The cultural association Mindelact will launch on Friday, 06, a programme of activities to mark “March, theatre month” in São Vicente, including performances, training sessions and the presentation of the Theatrical Merit Award, the organisation announced today.

The celebrations begin on 06 March with the training session “Decolonial Theatre, Preservation Strategies” at the Portuguese Cultural Centre (CCP) in Mindelo, which will also host, the following day, a staged reading of “Font Flipe Is Burning” by Companhia 50 Pessoa.

On 14 and 15 March, the performance “Women of Honour” will be presented at Academia Jotamont and, on the 20th, Chã de Cemitério School will host the project “From Sea to Cup” by Fortes Consulting.

Also included in the “March, theatre month” programme, the Mindelact association will hold a general assembly on the 21st at Chã de Cemitério School.
