Cáritas Cabo-verdiana (Cape Verdean Charity) identifies financial and human resource shortages as main challenge

City of  Praia, Feb 03 (Inforpress) – The Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of Cáritas Cabo-verdiana, Clara Marques, stated today in Praia that the shortage of financial and human resources constitutes the organisation’s main challenge.

In statements to Inforpress, within the framework of the national week commemorating the organisation’s fiftieth anniversary, Clara Marques called for new partnerships and volunteers to support people in vulnerable situations.

The official stressed that Cáritas needs to develop more projects and establish new partnerships to expand the reach of its social interventions.

“We could provide much more to vulnerable people, but often Cáritas also needs support in order to do so,” she stated, reinforcing the appeal for active participation from society.
