Porto Novo: Ribeira das Patas Health Centre begins operations to the satisfaction of users

Porto Novo, Feb 25 (Inforpress) – The Ribeira das Patas Health Centre, in Porto Novo, Santo Antão, began operations today with a resident physician and two nurses, meeting the expectations of users who had been calling for the operationalisation of this infrastructure.

The Porto Novo Health Delegate, Paulo Graça, confirmed to Inforpress that the Ribeira das Patas Health Centre, inaugurated at the end of January, is as of today available to users and, from the first day of March, is expected to reach full operational capacity to cover populations from several localities.

The Ministry of Health assured that this centre, representing an investment of 106 thousand contos, is equipped and staffed to serve approximately eight thousand people across the localities of Ribeira das Patas, Alto Mira, Jorge Luís, Ribeira da Cruz, Chã de Norte and Martiene.

The representative of the Association for the Integrated Development of Ribeira das Patas, Arlindo Almeida, welcomed the commencement of operations of the health centre, which strengthens healthcare coverage for the population.
