Praia, Feb 25 (Inforpress) – The Tom Jobim Auditorium, at the Instituto Guimarães Rosa (IGR), will host this Friday, the 27th, at 7:00 p.m., Trio Trapezius for a concert dedicated to the genres of Bossa Nova and Samba-Jazz.
According to the organisation, the show, part of the institute’s cultural programme in the city of Praia, offers an experience of closeness between musicians and the audience, exploring smooth sounds and characteristic Bossa Nova rhythms in an environment designed for attentive listening.
Trio Trapezius is composed of musicians from different generations and backgrounds, combining the experience of Zequinha Magra, a musician with historical links to the group Bulimundo, with double bassist Tozé Baptista and the young 17-year-old drummer Isma, who is also responsible for the technical sound component.
According to the same source, the Tom Jobim Auditorium has regularly hosted musical initiatives promoting close interaction between artists and the audience, having recently welcomed performances by musicians connected to Afro-Brazilian musicality.
