Kitesurf World: GKA promoter launches cleanup campaign with children at Ponta Preta Beach

Santa Maria, Feb 23 (Inforpress) – The promoter of the 2026 Kitesurf World Circuit in Cabo Verde, Djô da Silva, organized a beach cleanup at Ponta Preta Beach on Saturday, involving children, while waiting for favorable weather conditions for the competition.

The initiative consisted of collecting waste along the beach, taking advantage of the waiting period caused by the lack of sufficient wind for the event.

According to Djô da Silva, the main aim of the activity was to raise awareness among the new generations about the importance of environmental preservation..

"The most important thing is to show children, from an early age, the mindset of keeping the beaches clean. This is good for us, for the environment, and for our Cape Verde," said the official.
