NOSi strengthens energy transition with photovoltaic system at State Data Center

Praia, Feb 17 (Inforpress) – The executive administrator of the Operational Nucleus of the Information Society (NOSi) stated on Monday that the new photovoltaic system at the Data Center, launched in Praia, represents a strategic milestone for the country’s energy autonomy, operational efficiency and digital sustainability.

Speaking during the launch ceremony, executive administrator Lumumba Barbosa highlighted that the project symbolises a decisive step in strengthening the institution’s energy autonomy and consolidating the national digital ecosystem, stressing that the investment in clean energy directly contributes to the Data Center’s efficiency and resilience.

“This structuring clean energy generation project, aimed at reinforcing the autonomy and energy efficiency of NOSi’s technological infrastructures, will contribute decisively to increasing operational efficiency and to the resilience of our Data Center,” he stated.

According to the official, the investment falls within the ESG strategy adopted by the institution in 2024, focusing on environmental sustainability, financial efficiency and strengthening technological response capacity.
