Praia: União Desportiva da Praia Promotes Anti-Doping Lecture for Swimming Athletes

Praia, Jan 29 (Inforpress) – The Swimming School of União Desportiva da Praia (UDP) is holding an anti-doping awareness lecture this afternoon for athletes of all age groups, aimed at promoting fair play and the holistic development of young people.

Speaking to Inforpress, UDP General Director José María Ibáñez explained that the initiative, under the theme “Doping, Supplements and Informed Decisions – Risks, Myths and Real Consequences”, seeks to provide swimmers with essential information on substances prohibited in high-performance sport.

“We want to work on prevention across all age groups, from children to seniors, promoting values such as ethics, discipline and respect for the rules,” he said.

The lecture will be delivered by the Cabo Verde National Anti-Doping Organization (ONAD-CV), a partner of the swimming school in this mission of active citizenship.
