Porto Novo/Ribeira das Patas: Catano Residents Call for Multi-Purpose Center and Road Rehabilitation

Porto Novo, Dec 16 (Inforpress) – Residents of Catano, in Ribeira das Patas, Porto Novo municipality, have identified the construction of a multi-purpose center and the rehabilitation of the access road as the community’s main concerns, according to Inforpress.

In addition to road improvements and the multi-purpose center, residents are concerned about the condition of certain houses that pose safety risks and are requesting support for families in situations of heightened social vulnerability, as well as improved water supply.

During a recent meeting with the community, the Mayor of Porto Novo, Elisa Pinheiro, pledged to install a multi-purpose center in Catano once a suitable location is identified.

She also assured that the municipal council will improve the access road to enhance safety for both residents and vehicles.
