Márcia Lopes goes to the Gymnastics World Championships in Brazil

Praia, July 18 (Inforpress) - Athlete Márcia Lopes is part of the Cape Verdean team that will compete in the World Gymnastics Championships, from August 15 to 24, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Cape Verdean delegation will be made up of three members, including athlete Márcia Lopes, who is preparing intensely for the competition.

With daily training sessions, currently concentrated in the mornings, Márcia Lopes said the competitive pace will increase once the national championship is over.

"I'll train in the morning and afternoon to improve my physical endurance and adapt to Rio's climate, which, although similar to ours, has humidity that affects the grip of the equipment," he explained.
