São Vicente: Association selects athletes for 13th National Adapted Sports Championship

Mindelo, Jul 15 (Inforpress) - The Regional Adapted Sports Association (ARDA-SV) is holding its regional championship on Saturday 19 at the Adérito Sena Stadium in São Vicente to qualify athletes to take part in the 13th edition of the National Adapted Sports Championship.

The president of ARDA-SV, Helder Pio, explained to Inforpress that the competition will involve between 14 and 20 athletes with special needs, who will compete in three disciplines.

The best finishers in this regional competition will be selected to take part in the national championship, which is due to take place this year in São Vicente, from 28 to 31 August, organised by the federation. 

"We hold the regional championships every year and this will be the fifth edition. We'll have people competing in weightlifting, athletics and the shot put," he said.
