São Filipe: Detailed Salinas Plan will provide guidance on locations for major investments – mayor

São Filipe, July 10 (Inforpress) - The preparation of the Detailed Plan for Salinas, in the municipality of São Filipe, on Fogo Island, will guide economic activities and identify the best locations for major tourism investments, including hotels and residential developments.

The information was released by the mayor, Nuias Silva, on the sidelines of the 'socialization' of the new Salinas drag project, and highlighted the tourist potential of Salinas, which he classified as the island's flagship, along with the volcano.

"Salinas should be treated as a whole, valuing the entire area, which is one of the island's main natural attractions," said Nuías Silva, who classified Salinas as an excellent bathing area, with the potential to attract many tourists.

According to the mayor, a well-designed, detailed plan that includes the entire dune area north of Salinas Bay, as far as the beaches of Soprá and beyond, could transform the region into a destination of high tourist value.
