São Vicente: Health Centre closes Rua de Lisboa to raise awareness of health issues

Mindelo, Apr 7 (Inforpress) - The São Vicente Health Precinct monopolised Mindelo's main street, Rua de Lisboa, today with the second edition of the Health Festival, which aims to raise awareness among the population about health care.

The purpose of the event, as the health delegate, Elísio Silva, told the press, is also to mark World Health Day, celebrated today.

To this end, they brought together all the sector's structures on the island in one place, from the precinct, centres, private clinics, beauty salons, restaurants and even music, dance and sport.

A ‘transversal festival’ dedicated not only to pregnancy and birth, the theme highlighted by World Day, but also to the various specialities and preventive care.
