Cabo Verde with ‘ambitious strategies’ and ‘clear targets’ for energy transition – ministerSanta Maria, Mar 21 (Inforpress) - The Minister of Industry, Trade and Energy stressed today that Cabo Verde has been implementing an ‘ambitious strategy’ for the energy transition, with ‘clear targets’ for the increasing integration of renewable energies, electrification and mobility.

Alexandre Monteiro was speaking at the opening of the ‘Cabo Verde Green Economy Summit 2025’ forum in the city of Santas Maria, on the topic of ‘Huawei Digital Power Solutions for the Hotel Industry’, highlighting how technology and innovation can reduce dependence on fossil fuels and optimise energy consumption in the hotel sector.

The event, which brings together leaders, experts and innovators to debate the country's sustainable future, aims to boost the energy transition and strengthen sustainable practices.

According to the minister, Cabo Verde faces challenges like any developing nation, but what really sets it apart is the way it overcomes them.
