The Secretary of State of Tourism completes the final leg of his visit to Santo Antão with a trip to Tarrafal de Monte Trigo

Porto Novo, 19 August (Inforpress) – Today, the Secretary of State for Tourism is concluding his visit to Santo Antão with a trip to Tarrafal de Monte Trigo to visit the tourist village and see the private investment projects currently underway.

Beforehand, José Pimenta Lima will meet with the president of the Porto Novo Municipal Council to discuss with the local authority the potential and challenges of the sector in this municipality, where one of the biggest concerns of tourism operators is the lack of manpower.

The spokesperson for the tour operators, João Crisóstomo, confirmed that the labor shortage is affecting this activity in the municipality of Porto Novo, and he hopes to confront the government official with this concern.

This tour operator said that the lack of workers could compromise this economic activity, a concern also shared by the Santo Antão tourist guides association.
