
Praia, 12 August (Inforpress) – A foreign aviation company, “Suíça Moov”, has expressed its interest to the Government in the Cape Verdean civil aviation sector, particularly in the national airline TACV – Cabo Verde Airlines, and has presented a long-term, phased “strategic vision”.
The announcement was made public by the Government on its official website, stating that a government delegation, led at the highest level by the Prime Minister, Francisco Carvalho, and the Minister for Transport and Maritime Affairs, João do Carmo Brito, met on Tuesday 11th with representatives of the Swiss company Moov, with the stabilisation of the TACV being their first priority.
The meeting, according to the same source, allowed the Government to learn about “Suíça Moov’s strategic vision for the civil aviation sector and, in particular, its perspective on the future of TACV, within the framework of the Atlantic Gateway project.
According to João do Carmo Brito, the Swiss company presented a long-term, phased strategy, but stressed that any solution must be fundamentally based on the defense of national interests and those of the Cape Verdean people.
