Praia, July 15 (Inforpress) - The SSWAxC4V project aims to adapt artificial intelligence and internet of things technologies to the Cape Verdean reality, with solutions focused on the water and agriculture sectors, revealed today the principal investigator, Sónia Semedo.

In statements to Inforpress, on the sidelines of the public presentation of the progress of the project, Smart Solutions for Water and Agriculture to Face the Climate Change Crisis in Cabo Verde (SSWAxC4V), held at the University of Cabo Verde (Uni-CV), the official explained that the objective is to adapt the new "smart" tools to the specific conditions of the country.

"The objective is to understand how we can adapt new technologies to the reality of Cabo Verde. We chose the areas of agriculture and water because they are strategic sectors where these solutions can bring concrete benefits," she explained.

In addition to the scientific aspect, Sónia Semedo highlighted that the initiative had made it possible to establish a research structure unprecedented at Uni-CV, with the setting up of a dedicated laboratory and the creation of a team specialising in these technologies
