Praia, June 24 (Inforpress) - Cabo Verde Airports clarified today that the lack of air conditioning at Praia Airport is due to an irreversible technical fault, guaranteeing that the complete replacement of the system will be finished during the month of July.
The clarification comes in the wake of complaints made on Tuesday, the 23rd, by employees and passengers at Nelson Mandela International Airport who, in statements to Inforpress, called for the urgent restoration of the system, alleging unbearable temperatures for several months.
In a statement sent to Inforpress, the company informed that it is making a strategic investment to replace the air conditioning system in the infrastructure, aiming to definitively restore comfort conditions for users and employees.
Cabo Verde Airports explained that the existing system, inherited at the time of the concession, suffered an irreversible failure and that, after several repair attempts involving specialized national and international teams, all possibilities for corrective maintenance have been exhausted.
