Praia Hosts Launch of Book on Foreign Policy and Contemporary Diplomacy in Cabo Verde

Praia, June 5 (Inforpress) – Today, the Cabo Verde Diplomatic Institute (IDCV) today launches in Praia the collective work “Foreign Policy, Diplomacy and International Dynamics”, a publication bringing together contributions from diplomats, academics and national and foreign researchers on the main challenges and opportunities of Cape Verdean foreign policy.

Speaking to Inforpress, the Director-General of the Cabo Verde Diplomatic Institute (IDCV), Ambassador António Nascimento, explained that the initiative stems from the institution’s mission to promote the training of diplomats and encourage scientific research in areas related to diplomacy and international relations.

According to the official, the book originated from a proposal presented by young diplomats and later embraced and encouraged by the Institute’s management, positioning itself as a relevant contribution to deepening academic and strategic reflection on international relations, contemporary diplomacy and the foreign policy challenges faced by small island states.

The book addresses topics such as regional integration, economic diplomacy, security, climate diplomacy, cybersecurity and other matters related to Cabo Verde’s strategic interests.
