Lúcio Antunes Highlights Collective Effort and Advocates Continuity of Cape Verdean Football Project

Praia, June 5 (Inforpress) – Lúcio Antunes, the Former national team coach stressed today that the recent successes of the Cabo Verde national football team are the result of continuous collective work, reinforcing the importance of training, organisation and sustained investment in the post-World Cup period.

Lúcio Antunes attended the closing session of the 5th International Colloquium on Contemporary Football, where he reflected on the journey of Cabo Verde’s national team and the evolution of the country’s sporting project.

Speaking to the press, Lúcio Antunes emphasised that the results achieved by the national team are the outcome of “teamwork” built over many years, involving different coaches, players and technical staff.

“No one wins anything alone,” he stated, stressing that success results from coordination among all elements of the system.
