Nova Sintra, May 28 (Inforpress) – The Mayor of Brava island today described his working visit to the United States as “very good and productive”, highlighting achievements, particularly in strengthening cooperation with the city of Pawtucket.

Amândio Brito, speaking to Inforpress by telephone from the United States, explained that since the 21st of this month he has been carrying out a working visit to that country, a mission that has helped consolidate historical ties between Brava island and the emigrant community settled there, particularly in the city of Pawtucket, where a large number of Brava natives in the diaspora reside.

“We have just received an ambulance donated by Pawtucket Mayor Donald Greven to the Municipal Council of Brava island. Therefore, the outcomes continue to be positive and future expectations are carefully well defined,” he stated.

According to the mayor, the trip marks “a new era” in institutional relations between the two cities, with “clearly defined” objectives and prospects for cooperation in several areas of common interest.
