
Mindelo, 6 August (Inforpress) – The Multisectoral Economic Regulatory Agency (ARME) has decided to maintain the final electricity tariffs for beneficiaries of the Social Tariff until 31 December, and has extended the reduced tariffs for other consumers throughout August.
The decision is set out in Resolution 36/CA/2026 of 31 July, published in the Official Gazette, and is intended to implement Resolution 98/2026 of 30 July, which extended the transitional measures to mitigate electricity tariffs.
This as clarified is being carried out in compliance with the measures approved by the Government.
According to the resolution, consumers covered by the Social Electricity Tariff will continue to benefit from the current final tariffs until 31 December this year.
