ARAP wants to make Cabo Verdeans aware on the importance of transparency in the public procurement process

Praia, Sep 9 (Inforpress) – The Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (ARAP) intends to launch the “Public Procurement” campaign starting today, aimed at informing Cabo Verdeans about this institution’s mission and the importance of transparency in the public procurement process.

According to a statement from ARAP, this campaign will be a radio program to be broadcast on all community radio stations in Cabo Verde and has the technical and financial support from Pro PALOP-TL ISC (FASEII), as part of its intervention in improving executive’s ability to ensure budget transparency in the PALOP-TL.

During the first two weeks of September, the note added, ten awareness and information programs will be disseminated ARAP’s objectives, principles and values, the competencies of this regulator of the National Public Procurement System (SNCP), the functioning, the legal instruments and norms of the SNCP and the importance of citizen involvement as an active part of this process.

The first radios to broadcast the programs from today will be the community radio station Voz de Ponta D’Agua, in Santiago, the Community Radio for the Development of Women, in Santo Antão (Paúl), and the Community Radio of Espargos, in Sal Island.
