AJOC president defends that entrepreneurship can be an alternative for unemployed journalists

Praia, Apr 2 (Inforpress) – The Journalists Association of Cabo Verde (AJOC) president, Carlos Santos, suggested this Monday in the City of Praia that entrepreneurship may be an alternative for unemployed journalists.

Carlos Santos made this suggestion, in press statements, on the sidelines of the lecture “How to undertake in journalism – ideas to increase business in the media industry” promoted by AJOC in partnership with the US Embassy.

“This initiative is more linked to the creation of status, and the spirit of entrepreneurship”, explained Carlos Santos, indicating that this talk happens at a time when some journalists are unemployed.

The AJOC’s president justified the idea, saying that since the crisis in 2008, several editorial projects have disappeared worldwide and in Cabo Verde there was the extinction of some media and many journalists became unemployed.
