Praia, 29 June (Inforpress) – Today, the Cape Verdean national football team began its active recovery programme following qualification for the World Cup round of 32, starting preparations for the match against Argentina whilst remaining true to its competitive spirit.

The information was revealed by assistant coach Humberto Bettencourt in comments released today by the Cape Verdean Football Federation, ahead of preparations for the upcoming match.

According to Humberto Bettencourt, today’s training session will be devoted primarily to the players’ physical recovery following their journey on the afternoon of Sunday 28th, allowing them to bring the previous competitive cycle to a close before beginning their specific preparations for Argentina.

‘Today we will focus mainly on recovery so that we can put the last microcycle behind us and, from tomorrow, start preparing for the next match,’ he said.
