Lisbon, Oct 26 (Inforpress) – The president of the National Assembly, Austelino Correia, defended this Tuesday, in Lisbon, that in order for the agreement on CPLP mobility to be available to all citizens, its “real” implementation.
The idea was defended in his speech on this second and last day of the XI Parliamentary Assembly of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (AP-CPLP), which takes place in the Portuguese Parliament, in Lisbon, on “free movement of goods and services in the of the CPLP”.
According to Austelino Correia, since its inception, the CPLP has played an “important role” in the processes of political-diplomatic cooperation and consultation between its Member of States, emphasizing that the idea of the need to transform this community build, into a “community of peoples”.
“The first step was taken with the institutionalization of a mechanism to facilitate intra-community mobility: the Agreement on Mobility, already in force. The second should be in the sense of the actual implementation of this agreement, so that it can be available to citizens”, he defended, adding that it is also necessary to facilitate the circulation of goods and services between the nine states of the community.
