Council of Ministers approves proposal for agreement on air services between Cabo Verde and Morocco

Praia, Oct 10 (Inforpress) – The Council of Ministers on Thursday approved a motion for a Resolution approving, for ratification, the agreement on air services between Cabo Verde and Morocco, as well as the visa waiver agreement for diplomatic and service passports.

In a press conference this Friday, in the city of Praia, to balance the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Regional Integration, Rui Figueiredo Soares, explained that these agreements take place in the framework of the establishment of diplomatic relations with several countries with a view to facilitating the mobility of people, investments and trade.

“It is always a dream of Cabo Verdeans to emigrate to far away, although not always the far land is the solution. What we are doing is in the framework of these agreements,” he said.

With regard to waiving visa, the Minister also said that it is only in relation to service and diplomatic passports, but stressed that the Government’s claim is that all traders, for example, who travel to the Kingdom of Morocco, may soon have this circuit facilitated.
