Praia, Mar 23 (Inforpress) – The Health Delegate for the municipality of Praia, Ulardina Furtado, considered today as “normal” the cases of diarrhea and vomiting that appear in children and adults at this time of year.
Speaking to Inforpress, on the topic that has taken children and adults to the Emergency Bank, Ulardina Furtado reported that in January there was an increase in cases, but that it has been decreasing until the present date.
“This year, compared to last year, in the same period, we accounted for 508 fewer cases”, she said, stressing that diarrhea is a disease that appears during the year and with higher peaks in the months of January, May, June, September and November.
At this moment, added the Health delegate of Praia, the sudden rise in temperature could be one of the causes of the disease which, according to her, has taken children under 5 years old to the hospital, but without dehydration.
