Praia, Mar 6 (Inforpress) – The Secretary of State for Finance, Alcindo Mota, said today that by the end of the year Cabo Verde will operationalize SIMT on the ILO platform, allowing information on the labor market, supply and search.
Alcindo Mota, who was speaking at the opening ceremony of the presentation workshop for the Study for Updating the Labour Market Information Systems (LMIS) promoted by the Labor Market Observatory in partnership with the International Labor Organization (ILO), praised the contribution of the organization in the elaboration and construction of the study.
“We have the support of the ILO to work on the Labor Market Information System (SIMT), which will allow the various users, both in the country and internationally, to access timely information regarding the labor market. Both in terms of demand and of supply”, he said, emphasizing that it adds value for taking a position in relation to the job market.
In this context, he added that the information systems program for sustainable development includes the national statistical system and the intelligence and public policy center, noting on the other hand that official statistics are one of the important responsibilities of the State.
