Cabo Verde and Portugal sign Thursday Memorandum of Cooperation (MEC) in the field of maritime economy

Praia, July 4 (Inforpress) – Cabo Verde and Portugal are signing a Memorandum of Cooperation (MEC) in Lisbon, Portugal, in the field of Maritime Economy.

The document, to be initialed by the Minister of Tourism and Transport and Minister of Maritime Economy, José da Silva Gonçalves, and by the Minister of the Sea of ​​Portugal, Ana Paula Vitorino, essentially aims to promote activities that allow the development of joint partnerships in the sector.

The memorandum, according to a press release, cover specific activities to be implemented during one year, based on the principles of equality, mutual benefits and interest in strengthening cooperation relations between Cabo Verde and Portugal in this area.

The international commitments related to the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda are also included in this agreement.
