Cabo Verde and China negotiate 15 million dollars project for construction of the City of Praia Congress Center

Praia, Jul 1 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Communities, Luís Filipe Tavares, said that Cabo Verde and China are negotiating a project that aims to build the Praia Congress Center, which will cost 15 million dollars.

Asked by Inforpress, Luís Filipe Tavares made these statements as a balance of his visit to China to participate in the 1st China-Africa trade and economic exhibition, which ends today.

He said that he had participated in a “important” meeting of the China-Africa Forum coordinators, attended by several Foreign Ministers from African countries, and added that he personally had a meeting with the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in which have reviewed the cooperation between the two countries, foreseeing further actions to be developed.

In this line, he spoke with his counterpart about the construction of a new maternity hospital in São Vicente, the second phase of the Safe City project, which is already starting in the São Vicente island, then in Sal and later in Boa Vista.
