Brazil wants to help Cape Verde develop infrastructure system of quality

Praia, November 15, 2022 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Industry, Trade and Energy said this Monday that Cabo Verde and Brazil intend to strengthen cooperation in the field of developing infrastructure of quality in order to increase the country’s resilience and sustainable growth.

Alexandre Monteiro gave this information to the press, at the end of a visit that a high-level delegation from the National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (Inmetro), from Brazil, made today to the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Energy.

Inmetro’s mission to the archipelago, which lasts for one week, aims to strengthen cooperation with its Cape Verdean counterpart, the Institute for Quality Management and Intellectual Property (IGQPI), in the field of technical cooperation in the areas of metrology and conformity assessment.

“(…) there has already been an IGQPI mission to Brazil and this one takes place a month later, mainly for the mutual understanding of our reality to define and design a cooperation plan tailored to our needs”, declared the Minister.
