Brava: ECOWAS knows Brava reality in order to transform challenges into success stories

Nova Sintra, Oct 17 (Inforpress) – The resident representative of the chairman of the Commission of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is in Brava to learn about the main challenges of the island and turn them into successful cases.

Speaking to the press after a meeting with the substitute Mayor of Brava, Samuel Lamptey said that he is making a field visit on the islands of Fogo e Brava, similar to the one he did in Santo Antão and he intends to do in all the others in the country, stressing that he wants to know the reality of the islands, to learn on the gains and challenges and try to turn challenges into success stories.

According to the same source, as an Ambassador of ECOWAS wants to deal and communicate directly with the population in order to know in depth all angles of the islands.

In his visits to the islands of Fogo and Santo Antão, he stressed the need to create a point of cooperation in the agricultural sector, stressing that he noted that “there is a need to develop this sector and ECOWAS will pay attention to this area”.
