ASPPEC organises first Dance Gala to mark International Teachers’ Day

Praia, Oct 2 (Inforpress) – The Association for the Promotion of Educational Heritage – Cabo Verde (ASPPEC) is organising the first Dance Gala on Friday 6th, with the participation of the “Sofia Lourenço” Dance Company from Portugal, as part of International Teachers’ Day.

In an interview to Inforpress, the president of ASPPEC, Clara Marques, said that the event would be used to launch the third edition of the Cape Verdean Lecturer-Teacher Award.

The Dance Gala, she explained, will take place within the scope of International Teachers’ Day, and takes place within the framework of a partnership between ASPPEC and the Sofia Lourenço de Castelo Branco Dance Company.

“So within the scope of this cultural partnership, they will be in Cabo Verde to participate not only in this show at the Association level, but also to make some donations to social institutions, namely Fazenda Esperança, and Aldeias SOS in the city of Praia” ,she added.

    São Vicente: Ministry of the Sea presents final version of the National Strategy for the Sea 2023-2033 Mindelo, Dec 8 (Inforpress) – The government is preparing to present the National Strategy for the Sea 2023-2033 and its action plan, an instrument for planning, operationalising and implementing economic and social development related to the sea and the economic activities it supports. The Ministry of the Sea said that the presentation workshop should take place on the 19th in the conference room of the Chamber of Commerce of Barlavento, in Mindelo, followed by a debate/clarification session. The same source clarified that the National Strategy for the Sea 2023-2033 came from the responsibility of the National Directorate of Maritime Policy (DNPM) to propose and develop measures that promote the competitiveness of the sector, aiming to make the country a maritime logistics platform in the Middle Atlantic. It will provide answers to the “major challenges” of the decade and will strengthen Cape Verde’s position and visibility in the region and the world as a “historically and geographically maritime” nation.
