Praia, Mar 18 (Inforpress) – The Cabo Verdean Association for the Fight against Cancer (ACLC) Tuesday delivered a symbolic hygiene kit to cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at the Agostinho Neto Hospital.
The delivery to cancer patients was made by the president of ACLC, Cornélia Pereira, who in statements to the press explained that this action falls within the scope of the celebration of “March, month of Women”.
“This basic basket contains a hygiene kit, items that we consider essential for the patients and in addition to this symbolic kit we also wanted to bring a message of encouragement and solidarity to patients undergoing chemotherapy at this time,” she said.
According to this official, ACLC intends to help around 70 patients who are in the fight against cancer throughout the year, adding that the delivery of the kits will be phased, mainly benefiting those who are outside their islands.
